Greens Food Fare is a well known and much loved grocery shop trading in Lisburn city centre since 1886. It has had a long standing reputation as a supplier of speciality food from around the world and has a very loyal clientele returning to the shop for many years. The business has grown into strength from a small local butchery store J.T.Greens & Sons and is now one of the most important pillars supporting the vibrancy of the historic city centre.

The redevelopment was undertaken in several phases, with the aim of providing continuous and seamless trading from the shop whilst undertaking extensive renovation and conservation works to the historic fabric of the buildings, thus protecting and enhancing the heritage value of the area. Thanks to the sensitive removal of modern layers of the building fabric it was possible to uncover original layers dating back to the late 18th and early 19th centuries, which enabled us to renovate and bring back to life several forgotten historic details. These included the original glazed decorative moulded tile shop front, much appreciated by the conservation community as well as the wider public.
